Who we are
PayBridge Investments (Private) Limited, registered in Zimbabwe (Company No. 135657A0192026), operating under the brand name PayBridge. You can reach our data protection contact at hello@paybridge.co.zw.
What we collect
- Merchant data: company name, country of incorporation, registration number, beneficial owner identity, business type, expected volume, settlement bank details. KYB requirement.
- Buyer data: the minimum a payment rail requires — typically a mobile number (mobile-money rails) and a tokenised card reference (card rail). We never store a full card number.
- Transactional data: amounts, currencies, methods, references, statuses, settlement records.
- Operational: server logs, error traces, audit trails of admin actions.
Why we collect it
To process payments and remit funds. To meet KYC/KYB and exchange-control obligations imposed on our banking partners. To detect fraud and reconcile books. No advertising profiles, no resale of merchant lists, no behavioural targeting.
How long we keep it
Transactional records: seven years post-finalisation (financial-records retention norm). Merchant KYB: as long as the merchant is active plus five years. Logs: thirteen months. Anything not required by the above is deleted when its purpose ends.
Who we share it with
Once live payments start: our banking partner (a licensed authorised dealer) for settlement and exchange-control filings. Our payment-provider partners for the leg they execute. Regulators when legally compelled. No-one else. Sub-processors are listed in the merchant data-processing agreement on activation.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it (subject to the retention obligations above), or ask us to stop processing it for a stated reason. Email hello@paybridge.co.zwwith “Data request” in the subject line. We respond within 30 days.
Changes
We’ll publish meaningful changes here and notify active merchants by email. Substantial pre-launch revision is expected before live payments.
This stub is pre-launch placeholder copy. A lawyer-reviewed version replaces it before any live transaction is processed.
